Walking Track 

Take a stroll or get your evening run in on our paved walking track, located next to the recreation center. For those of you who are keeping count, five laps around the track equals one mile.

Tarheel Quilters Guild

Do you love to sew? Interested in learning the trade? Come join us and create works of art for your family, your friends or yourself. No experience needed. This group gives you the opportunity to share your ideas and borrow others with those that share your interest.

Indian Culture Class

The purpose of the Culture Class is to engage our community members. This class offers instruction on singing, dancing, craft making and history. Family Game Zone

Join us every Second Sunday at Stoney Point for our Family Game Zone. We’ll have a mixture of board games and video games for all ages. The options will change monthly and registration is free.

Senior Cards

Join us every Monday and Wednesday for Senior Cards. Socialize with others while playing with a variety of card games. This event is free and participants must be 55+.

Coaches Needed

Soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, football and cheerleading coaches are needed at Stoney Point Recreation Center. For more information or to volunteer, stop by or call the recreation center.

Homeschool Meet-Up

If you have a child that is homeschooled and needs time to get out of the house to play games or walk the track with other children that are homeschooled, then Stoney Point Recreation Center has that opportunity for you. Must call ahead.

Line Dancing Class

Looking to get active and relieve Stress at the end of the day. Join us at Stoney Point every Wednesday, for our Line Dance Class. The class offers a good way to both socialize and is a good form of cardio.

Mission: Unstoppable Fitness Boot Camp

Do you want to get in better shape, but don’t know where to start? Start your journey at Stoney Point, as we’ll be hosting a weekly fitness class every Sunday. Classes cost $5 per session or $20 for the whole month.

Adult Book Club

Take a break from the day and unwind with great reads and great company. Join us for our Adult Book Club. One hour of lively discussion, new perspectives, and a friendly community of book lovers. Every month bring a new story to share! All reading levels welcome! The first meeting will be in March.

Fall Festival

Join us for a fun-filled day of autumn festivities featuring games, local vendors, seasonal treats, and activities for all ages. Come enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of fall!

Family Pumpkin Carving Afternoon

Come and carve some scary (or happy) pumpkins with us at Stoney Point. We will provide the tools; you bring a pumpkin. We will also be watching the Charlie Brown Halloween Special.  Registration must be completed by October 10.

Beyblade Tournament

LET IT RIP!!! On November 7 we’ll be having our first Beyblade tournament. Do you have what it takes to be the champion? Registration is limited and ends on April 9. Participants must bring their own Beyblade.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

With November being National Homelessness Awareness Month, we are giving back and having a Food Drive! The entire month you will be able to bring in nonperishable food items. A box will be located at the entrance of the center. All donations will be given to the Salvation Army, help us reach the community one nonperishable item at a time

Cookies with Santa

Join us, as we welcome a special guest to Stoney Point Recreation Center. On December 14, Santa takes time out of his busy schedule to enjoy cookies and hot chocolate with families. Come to see Saint Nicolas and enjoy some quality family time. Registration must be complete by December 1.

Parents’ Night Out: Christmas Wreath Craft

Parents, do you need a night out to finish some last second Christmas Shopping or just some time to yourself?  If so, drop your kids off at our parent’s night out. The children will enjoy a night of fun activities and snacks. We will be having a pajama party, enjoy watching the Polar Express Movie, and make your own Christmas Wreath. while having hot chocolate and Christmas Cookies. Registration must be completed by December 11.

Basketball Jamboree

Join us as we welcome in our 2026 Winter Basketball Season with a Jamboree located at Spivey Recreation Center. One team from each center will be picked to start the center off with a bang.
