- The City of Fayetteville’s government administrative offices, including City Hall, are closed on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 in recognition of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Click here for schedules for resident service-focused departments.
- The City of Fayetteville will hold its annual Community Café Conversation On Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 at Smith Recreation Center, located at 1520 Slater Ave. The event will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and allows Fayetteville citizens to answer questions that can help shape the future of the community. - The Houston Astros unveiled the Fayetteville Woodpeckers as their new Class A Advanced minor league affiliate, located in Fayetteville, N.C. Thanks to insight gleaned in town hall meetings, online surveys and one-on-one conversations with residents, the Woodpeckers brand celebrates the core characteristics of the city, its natural beauty and proud community. - Excitement is building as construction is now underway on the new Fayetteville Baseball Stadium & Entertainment Venue project. Following a groundbreaking that was hosted by the City of Fayetteville and the Houston Astros last August, construction crews for Barton Malow have been working full speed ahead to ensure successful completion by opening day of the 2019 season.
