Martin Luther King Day Holiday Schedule

The City of Fayetteville’s government administrative offices, including FAST offices, are closed on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 in recognition of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.  FAST will run regular service. Garbage and yard waste for Monday, Jan. 21 will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Recycling will be collected on regular schedule on Monday, Jan. 21. If any collection service is missed, residents should leave their carts at the curb and, if needed, call 910-433-1FAY (1329). Caribbean-American Heritage Festival

Caribbean American Connection of Fayetteville North Carolina (CACOFNC) is hosting their 8th Annual Caribbean-American Heritage Festival. The festival's purpose is to share Caribbean culture with residents and visitors. Every year, the festival features local Caribbean food vendors, cultural performances, traditional games played in the Caribbean, and door prizes. They also provide special cultural activities for children and adults. This year's musician line-up includes DJ Red and Vibestar, One Voice (Trinidad) from New York City, Rohan Da Great Raleigh NC Jahreem Feuratado, Jimmy Roman Ouxaman, and more. Bring your lawn chairs and flags. Wear a costume to represent your country. Parade will begin at 6:45 p.m.
