Update to Request Locating Dangerous Wanted Subject – Known Associate Captured

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, along with patrol officers, have arrested Lashante Chantel Fisher (B/F, 28 years of age), who is the known associate of Norman Helton.

 

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department patrol division responded to a call for a suspicious red in color Chevrolet Pickup truck on private property in the Massey Hill neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle, which was occupied by two subjects. Both subjects fled on foot into the wooded area. Fisher was apprehended and taken into police custody.

Norman Helton is still at large. The Chevrolet pickup truck has been recovered. HELTON IS STILL CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS. IF YOU OBSERVE HELTON, DO NOT APPROACH. CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or Crimestoppers at 910-483-TIPS.

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit have obtained new information and surveillance images regarding the violent wanted subject, Norman Lynn Helton.

Helton was last seen occupying a red 2010 four door Chevrolet Silverado with dark tint and 33 inch tires (pictured above-vehicle has not been recovered). Norman Helton is linked to at least twenty-two motor vehicle thefts in and around the Fayetteville area. Detectives have recovered all but four of the vehicles. He has escalated to using a firearm in at least one attempt to carjack a victim’s vehicle.

Detectives are also requesting assistance in the locating of a known associate of Norman Lynn Helton, Lashante Chantel Fisher (B/F, 28 years of age). Fisher is also currently wanted for numerous related charges (pictured above).

Helton has been targeting businesses where customers leave their unattended vehicle running. The Fayetteville Police Department would like to remind citizens to never leave an unattended vehicle running, and to always take your keys with you.

(Fayetteville, NC) – At 2:08 pm, Norman Lynn Helton is alleged to have attempted another armed carjacking along the 100 block of Drake Street.

 

Helton was seen leaving in a grey/silver F150 extended cab pickup truck. He was in the company of a petite B/F.

 

Responding officers attempted to stop the vehicle, and Helton fled, striking several vehicles. The truck shown in security footage below is now believed to have damage to the front. Several items also came out of the rear of the truck as it fled.

Detectives continue to seek assistance locating this vehicle and suspect Norman Helton.

Request Assistance Locating Dangerous Wanted Subject

 

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance locating the below listed wanted subject, Norman Lynn Helton (W/M, 35 years of age). Mr. Helton does not have a current listed home address, but he is known to frequent areas around Skibo Road and Bragg Boulevard. He was last seen operating a stolen black in color Kia Sorento, NC registration BFS-9712.

Norman Helton is wanted for the following charges: (F) Larceny Of Motor Vehicle x2 , (F) Flee/Elude Arrest W/MV x2, for (F) Stolen MV “Carjacking”, (F) Possession of Stolen Vehicle x2, and (F) Assault with Firearm Deadly Weapon on Police, (F) Flee and Elude Law Enforcement while operating a motor vehicle, (M) Assault On A Female “Domestic”, (M) RDO (M) DWLR x2.
