Facebook Town Hall Meeting Being Held for New Red Light Cameras
(Fayetteville, N.C.) — The City of Fayetteville is holding a Facebook Town Hall Meeting about the five new red light cameras in Fayetteville. The Facebook Town Hall Meeting will be held on the City of Fayetteville Facebook Page, under Events, this Thursday, Aug. 17 from 3 to 4 p.m. Once on the City Facebook Page, users can submit questions and comments before the event and come back to participate in the discussion.
The City invites residents to participate in the online conversation and ask questions about existing and new red light cameras.
“We hope to convey the rationale behind the implementation of the cameras and the benefits to resident safety,” said Kevin V. Arata, Corporate Communications Director. “To this end, we will have representatives from the City of Fayetteville Public Services Department (formerly Engineering & Infrastructure), and American Traffic Solutions (ATS), on hand to address questions. Though the dialogue will not begin until the scheduled time, we encourage residents to submit questions in advance to allow for as many answers to be provided in the time allotted.”
The five new red light cameras became operational this month as part of the City’s red light safety program. The new cameras are located at:
- Skibo and Red Tip roads
- Owen and Village drives
- Raeford and Hope Mills roads
- Grove and B streets
- Grove and Ramsey streets
