FAST and U.S. DOT Hold Small Business Workshop for Contractors
(Fayetteville, N.C.) — The Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Small Business Transportation Resource Center are holding a small business workshop for contractors on Thursday, Aug. 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the FAST Administrative Office, located at 455 Grove St.
Topics of the workshop include how:
- GIS-mapping software (ESRI) can help build a business plan and develop marketing strategies to reach a target audience
- Hoover’s database provides detailed information about leading firms in each industry, how to research competitors and suppliers and build a database of prospective customers
- E-Pipeline gathers critical details about upcoming local, federal and state government contracting opportunities and allows access to RFP documents and contact information
- McGraw Hill Dodge provides detailed and customized construction opportunities for both public and private sectors
