Suspects Charged in Weekend Homicide

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit have charged two (2) individuals in the weekend shooting that killed one person and seriously wounded another.  The suspects have been identified as Izaiah Jamal Blue (B/M, 20 years of age) of the 5900 block of Pine Ridge Road in Faison, NC and Jalyn La-Scott Phillips (B/M, 19 years of age) of the 11500 block of Kenner Road in Faison, NC.

Blue and Phillips have been charged with 1st Degree Murder, Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Assault With a Deadly Weapon Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury (AWDWIKISI), Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon and Felonious Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.  Blue and Phillips should be considered armed and dangerous. 

 

Detectives are encouraging friends and family of these two young men, to have them surrender to law enforcement.  Detectives are actively investigating this fatal shooting and additional charges may be forthcoming. 

 

While both individuals have addresses in Faison, they are known to frequent Clinton, NC and may be operating a black 2017 GMC Arcadia with a North Carolina registration of EKM-8858.  A surveillance image of the GMC Arcadia has been attached to the media release for dissemination.

Update to Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified the victims of the shooting that took place at 690 South Reilly Road on Saturday, August 26, 2017.

 

The male victim has been identified as Nisier Nuriddin (B/M, 20 years of age). Nuriddin succumbed to injuries he sustained during the shooting.

 

The female victim has been identified as Tontaria Lunsford (B/F, 20 years of age). Lunsford sustained non-life threatening injuries during the shooting.

 

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are actively investigating the homicide and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

Homicide Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Saturday, August 26, 2017 at approximately 7:24 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of Carlie C’s located at 690 South Reilly Road.

The preliminary investigation revealed a male subject and a female subject were shot in the parking lot. The male was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition and has succumbed to injuries he sustained during the shooting. The female was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives with the FPD’s Homicide Unit are currently investigating the homicide and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The name of the victims are currently being withheld until their immediate families can be notified.

Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
