2018 HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Funding

The Fayetteville Economic & Community Development Department will receive CDBG funds and HOME funds for fiscal year 2018 - 2019 to assist in providing citizens a better quality of life. A portion of these funds will be awarded to SELECTED ORGANIZATIONS/AGENCIES to provide services in the categories listed below:

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

Housing Activities: The purpose of this activity is to provide funding for activities such as housing rehabilitation and new housing construction projects designed to increase the supply of affordable single and multi-family housing for low to moderate income residents in the city of Fayetteville.
Community Investment Activities: Provide technical assistance workshops for small businesses/entrepreneurs.
Homeless Activities: Provide homeless service support to individuals and families.
Program Location: All programs must be carried out inside the City limits of Fayetteville.

Programs selected must be consistent with the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan goals and objectives. Eligible applicants for each of the above activities include qualified non-profit, for–profit and units of local government entities. All organizations with an interest in submitting a proposal for consideration may pick up an application packet from the Economic & Community Development Department, Festival Park Plaza, 225 Ray Ave., Suite 198, on or after November 27, 2017. 2018 HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Funding

HUD allocates funds by formula among eligible State and local governments to strengthen public-private partnerships for the creation of affordable housing. The City of Fayetteville Economic & Community Development Department provides financing to developers for the acquisition, rehabilitation or new construction of rental housing for low and moderate-income families.
Affordable Housing Program assistance must be used for one of two purposes listed below:

To finance the purchase, construction and/or rehabilitation of owner-occupied housing for very low, low and moderate income households; or To finance the purchase, construction and or rehabilitation of rental housing for very low, low, and moderate-income households.

During the 2018-2019 program year, the Fayetteville Economic & Community Development Department will have funding available for affordable housing development. To be considered, all sponsoring entities and proposals must meet the regulations prescribed in the HOME Investment Partnership Program at 24 CFR Part 92. Developers, nonprofit organizations, Community Housing Development Organizations and Community Based Development Organizations are eligible to apply.

All organizations with an interest in submitting a proposal for consideration may pick up an application packet from the Economic & Community Development Department, Festival Park Plaza, 225 Ray Ave., Suite 198, on or after November 27, 2017. The deadline for receipt of application for developers is December 29, 2017.
