Leadership Courses for Community Decision-Making Scheduled
Economic and Community Development Proud to Host Co-Facilitator Event
(Fayetteville, N.C.) — The City of Fayetteville Economic and Community Development Department is proud to host the community-driven initiative, Community Voices. The initiative is a leadership development course for community decision-making that develops leaders at the grassroots level. The department has scheduled two training sessions on Saturday, March 9 and Saturday, March 16. This event will be held at the Old Wilmington Road Neighborhood Resource Center, located at 500 Campbell Terrace. The second round of training sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, April 17 and Thursday, April 18 at College Lakes Recreation Center, which is located at 4945 Rosehill Road. The events are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and interested citizens need only to attend one of the two-day events.
“We are seeking non-traditional leaders and organizations to assist in developing skills to help solve problems in their communities,” said Community Relations Specialist Alex Baker. “Participants can expect to learn how a group can make a difference working together and connect to resources that can help reach a shared vision.”
