Heat/Solid Waste and Yard Waste Pickup Update

UPDATE: The City is now encouraging residents to put out yard waste carts in the event we can get them picked up this weekend. Citizens should also continue to leave their solid waste carts out at the curb until they are picked up.

Big Cross Creek Trail Community Meeting

(Fayetteville, N.C.) — A community meeting about Big Cross Creek Trail will be held Monday, March 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Cape Fear Conference Room, located in City Hall at 433 Hay St.

The meeting will be a drop-in open house to display maps and answer questions from the public.

The Big Cross Creek Trail is aligned parallel to Cross Creek from Washington Drive near Fayetteville State University northbound to Fort Bragg. This trail is approximately six miles long, consisting of a 10-feet wide path, constructed of asphalt, concrete and boardwalk. Nearly half of the trail will consist of boardwalk. Project construction costs are estimated to be approximately $11 million.

Big Cross Creek Trail will connect with the future Little Cross Creek Trail and later to Mazarick Park and downtown Fayetteville.
