City of Fayetteville to Host Training for Community Leaders
(Fayetteville, NC) July 19, 2019 – The City of Fayetteville’s Economic and Community Development Department is hosting free training sessions for residents who are interested in developing their skills as community leaders. Community Voices training teaches participants how a group can make a difference working together and how to connect to resources that can help reach a shared vision.
“We are excited to offer this training to the community,” said Cynthia Blot, Director of the City of Fayetteville Economic and Community Development Department. “Our community is only as strong as its leaders and Community Voices provides the necessary training leaders need to bring their voices to the forefront.”
Community Voices leadership training addresses many issues that traditional leadership development and community action training programs often neglect. The program curriculum is scripted, and well-suited to work with diverse audiences and communities. It is designed by the Cooperative Extension at North Carolina A&T State University.
The public is invited to attend a FREE kick off event to learn more about the training.
Refreshments will be served.
