Citizen Input Needed for City Bicycle Plan

Post Date:09/25/2019 5:34 PM
(Fayetteville, N.C.) – The City of Fayetteville is working with Stantec Consulting Services Inc. and J S Lane Company LLC in seeking feedback from the community to help develop the City-wide Bicycle Plan (Draft), Bike Fayetteville. The plan is the result of a North Carolina Department of Transportation grant awarded in March 2018 matched with City funds. The funding, from the grant, is being used for the completion of a City-wide Bicycle Plan and to guide the planning and implementation of bicycle improvements. The overall goal of a bicycle plan is to assess current conditions within the City limits and recommend infrastructure improvements, as well as, policies and programs to make biking safer, easier, and more desirable.

City officials are interested in hearing from citizens on biking in the City. The public will have two upcoming opportunities to learn more information about the project, view map data, and share feedback about the proposed Bicycle Plan recommendations.
