City leaders delay start of downtown paid parking

Post Date:03/25/2020 4:57 PM

(Fayetteville, N.C.) – City leaders have decided to delay the start of paid parking in downtown Fayetteville. Paid parking will begin in the summer of 2020 instead of the initial date of April 1, 2020. This change is meant to help the community, as mitigating the spread of the Coronavirus is a top priority.

City Manager Doug Hewett said, “We understand this is a difficult time. We support the downtown businesses, residents, and visitors. Being flexible is the right thing to do.”
