Virtual City Council Meeting Monday April 27, 2020

(Fayetteville, N.C.) – Fayetteville City Council members will participate in a virtual regular meeting via Zoom Monday, April 27 at 7 p.m. This format change is due to the spread of the Coronavirus. You can view the council meeting agenda at https://cityoffayetteville.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. Two public hearings are on the agenda.

Rules of Procedure for Public Hearings:

The following Rules of Procedure will apply under the currently issued state of emergency and supersede Council Policies 120.2 and 120.9:

Standard Public Hearings:

  • Citizens can submit Public Hearing comments in two ways.
  • All citizens must contact the City Clerk’s office at (910) 433-1312 or at PublicComments@ci.fay.nc.us to sign up for a public hearing in advance by Monday, April 27 @ 5:00 p.m.

o   Comments received in writing:

o   Statements must be submitted in advance in writing to the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. the day of the meeting, which can be done online by going to www.FayettevilleNC.gov/publichearingform or calling (910) 433-1312 for assistance.

o   Standard contact information will be required along with a phone number and email.

o   Statements are limited to 500 words.

o   The City Clerk will read any statements received into the record.

o   Comments received live during the Zoom Meeting:

o   Citizens must log into the zoom meeting at: https://fayettevillenc.zoom.us/j/93639413363?pwd=UXhKb3VDNkZLRmE0ZllRSGN4UGRMQT09 Password: 158606, or by calling in to the meeting at: (646) 558-8656, Webinar ID: 936 3941 3363 Password: 158606

o   When the citizen’s name is called to speak they will be unmuted by the moderator.  Once three minutes have elapsed the moderator will place the citizen back on mute. 

Other citizens and media members can also listen to Monday’s council meeting in one of two ways:
