    (Fayetteville, NC) – The subject that was experiencing a mental health crisis has agreed to assistance and will be transported to a medical facility for evaluation. Stockton Drive has been reopened for travel in both directions and the FPD would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this incident.

  • Driving While Impaired Operation / Checkpoint

    (Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, July 28, 2017 in support of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program, the Fayetteville Police Department will participate in a Driving While Impaired Checkpoint along Hoke Loop Road in western Fayetteville. The goal of the checkpoint is to educate the public on the dangers of impaired driving and to reduce the amount of impaired drivers on the roadway.

  • CALEA Accreditation

    (Fayetteville, NC) – On November 18th, 1989, The Fayetteville Police Department became the 122nd Law Enforcement Agency in the Nation and the 4th Law Enforcement Agency in North Carolina to achieve the honor of accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Since that time, the department has continued to prove compliance by being reaccredited every three years.
