  1. Residential New Construction Application (FayWorx Online Portal) or Building Permit Application
  2. Plot Plan or Site Plan
  3. Complete House Plan
  4. Res/Check or Energy Compliance Form
  5. Workers Compensation Form
  6. NC Lien Agent Assignment Printout with Entry number
  7. Elevation Certificate if within Flood Zones

All residential structures must fully comply with the City of Fayetteville Development Ordinance for height, required setbacks, and lot coverage. See Section 30-3.

House and Site Plan must fully comply with the City of Fayetteville Development Ordinance 30-5.G.

Residential - Additions

Residential - Fences, Walls, Dumpster Enclosures, & Pools

  2. Workers Compensation Form, if project is $30k or more

  4. Elevation Certificate if within Flood Zones
  5. Engineer Sealed Drawing for Retaining Walls or Four Feet or more in Height and Fences and Walls over Six Feet in Height

All Fences and Walls must fully comply with the City of Fayetteville Development Ordinance Section 30-5.D.

All Pools must fully comply with City of Fayetteville Development Ordinance Section 30-4.C.4.h.2.

All Dumpster Enclosures must fully comply with City of Fayetteville Development Ordinance Section 30-5.B.4.e.

If the property is still using a Septic System, contact the Cumberland County Health Department at (910) 433-3668 to locate the position of the tank and lines to ensure there will be no conflict with the project and/or no required upgrades to the existing system.

Building and site plan must fully comply with the City of Fayetteville Development Ordinance 30-3; 30-5.H; and 30-5.I.

Unless you already have an approved plan with the NC Department of Natural Resources you need to contact their local office to ensure you are in full compliance with their standards. The City of Fayetteville will not approve your project until you have met all NCDNR Standards.
