City Hosts Local Contractors Course

(Fayetteville, N.C.) – Approximately 25 people attended a State-approved landscape contractors course today, June 23, hosted by the City of Fayetteville at the Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) Horticulture Education Center. Titled “Get it Right the First Time - Efficient Installations without Costly Delays,” participants received continuing education credits for participating.

The course presented important information on the topic of achieving efficient municipal approval of landscape installations. The information will be presented in a format that is both engaging and educational with Powerpoint visuals and a collaborative lineup of interesting speakers.

Landscape contractors learned about:

  • Bidding a project
  • Redesigning a project or making plan changes
  • Installing a project
  • Maintaining/warranting a project

The course was a collaborative effort between City of Fayetteville Planning, Fayetteville Public Works Commission Utilities and FTCC. Those taking the course were familiarized with municipal requirements to be successful in achieving approval of both planting design changes and installations.
