On Tuesday, August 6th, neighborhoods around Fayetteville will be joining other communities around the country in celebrating the 36th annual National Night Out, America’s Night Against Crime! It’s a night when residents come together to take a stand against crime, show solidarity, and let criminals know neighborhoods are fighting back. It is a yearly event that focuses on strengthening neighborhood bonds and building partnerships between police departments and the community.
In Fayetteville, Community Watch groups will be participating in this celebration by having various activities for the community. Members of law enforcement will also be participating in the events. Residents who can’t make it to an event can still participate in National Night Out by turning on their porch light and taking a moment to interact with their neighbors.
