Traffic Fatality / Road Closed

(Fayetteville, NC) – On July 2, 2021 at 1:45 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to a single vehicle crash along the 4700 block of Blanton Road.

The preliminary investigation has revealed a sedan left the roadway and collided with a tree. One occupant, an adult male, has been pronounced deceased on scene. His identification is pending next of kin notification. Another adult male occupant has been transported to the hospital with severe injuries.

Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit are on scene investigating the crash. The 4700 block of Blanton Road is currently closed.
