Suspect Wanted for Robbery/Shooting Incident

All suspects, and persons charged with a crime, are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Persons of interest are believed to have information relating to a case, and have not been charged unless stated otherwise.

 

Suspect Wanted for Robbery/Shooting Incident

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On August 11th, 2022 at approximately 8:13 PM, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Windsor Drive reference to a robbery where a firearm was taken. At approximately 8:21 PM officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Windsor Drive where shots were fired and a victim was struck in the arm and chest. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

 

Aggravated Assault Detectives arrived on scene and the preliminary investigation revealed 19 year old Karon Peair Streets robbed a family member of a handgun from the 200 block of N. Windsor Drive fled on foot and opened fire on a residence in the 200 block of S. Windsor Drive. Karon Streets fled on foot and was last seen in the area of the 1200 block of Ramsey Street. A perimeter has been set up in the area where officers and detectives are actively searching for Karon Streets.

 

Karon Sheets has active warrants for Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property, Larceny and additional charges are forthcoming.

Karon Peair Streets is described as 5’07”, 150lbs, black hair and brown eyes.
