Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Investigation Leads to Arrest
(Fayetteville, NC) – The Fayetteville Police Department received a report from a parent on November 2, 2023, who had found sexual images on their juvenile daughter’s phone along with chat messages from an adult male. An investigation by the Fayetteville Police Departments Cybercrimes Unit ensued.
During the investigation the suspect was identified as Keon Tyreese Tucker (Black male, 21 years old) of Spartanburg, South Carolina. The investigation revealed Keon Tucker had met the juvenile online, solicited sexual images from her, and sent obscene images to her as well.
On June 6, 2024, warrants for the arrest of Keon Tucker were obtained for the Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Disseminating Obscene Material to a Minor under 13 Years of Age.
On October 24, 2024, Keon Tucker was taken into custody in Spartanburg, S.C. by the U.S. Marshalls Service and the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office where he awaited extradition to Fayetteville, NC.
On November 4, 2024, members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) took custody of Keon Tucker.
Keon Tucker was charged with First Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Disseminating Obscene Material to a Minor under 13 Years of Age. Keon Tucker is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $100,000.00 secured bond.
