Ongoing Sexual Assault Investigation
(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Special Victims Unit are actively investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred near the Oak Run Apartments on the evening of November 14, 2024, around 8:45 PM.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the female victim was picked up near the 500 block of S. Eastern Boulevard by a male suspect who offered her a ride. The suspect was driving a newer-model, gray-toned Dodge Charger. He is described as a Black male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, with a short beard. The suspect drove the victim to the area of Oak Run Apartments, where he parked and sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the suspect ordered the victim out of the vehicle and fled the area.
