Update to Shooting Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Aggravated Assault unit have identified the suspects involved in the shooting investigation that occurred on June 30, 2020 along Murchison Road.

 

Alexa Lara (B/F 23 years of age) of Lumber Bridge, NC has been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, and Felony Conspiracy.

 

Tamera Gould (B/F 25 years of age) of Fayetteville, NC has also been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, and Felony Conspiracy.

 

The investigation has revealed that this shooting stemmed from a domestic disturbance. More charges are likely to follow regarding other vehicles that were also struck at this busy intersection.

 

The victims have since been released from the hospital for their injuries.

Shooting Investigation

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Today, at approximately 12:46 am the emergency dispatchers received a call advising that there was a shooting into an occupied vehicle at the intersection of Murchison road and Bragg Blvd. The call was dispatched and officers arrived at the location. Upon arrival they found a vehicle stopped in the left turn lane. They also located two females on scene who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

 

The two female subjects were transported to the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where their conditions are unknown at this time.

 

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
