(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Cold Case Sexual Assault Unit have charged and arrested a suspect in connection with six (6) cold case rape investigations that occurred between March 2006 and January 2008 along the Ramsey Street corridor.

Heavy Police Presence Downtown

Officers are on scene along the 400 block of Hay St investigating a threat that was received by phone. City Hall and the AIT building were placed on lockdown as a precaution as we investigated. There are no reported shots or injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
