Lost & Found
FAST Lost and Found is located at the dispatch office and is open during operating hours at 505 Franklin Street, Fayetteville NC 28301.
Items left on buses or on FAST property will be held no more than 30 days. FAST will keep a record of items found, and will make an attempt to return them to their owners.
To ensure lost items are returned to the rightful owner(s), the person claiming the item(s) will need to provide a full description. For cell phones and other valuable items additional proof of ownership will be required. All Claimants must provide a photo identification which will be copied, and they must sign for the item(s) they are retrieving before it/they will be released to them.
Items will be held according to the following guidelines:
Items which may be disposed of immediately include toiletries, food items carried in plastic bag(s), travel cups, soiled or dirty clothes and related items.
Lost clothing, backpacks and other fabric items will be held at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin Street, Fayetteville N.C. 28301. If not claimed within 48 hours they will be disposed of.
Lost glasses, keys, phones, and prescriptions will be held at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin Street, Fayetteville N.C. 28301 for 30 days. If they are not claimed within that time they will be disposed of. Glasses and phones are donated and prescriptions are given to the Fayetteville Police Department for disposal.
Lost wallets or cash will be held at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin Street, Fayetteville N.C. 28301 for 30 days. If not claimed within that time they will be turned over to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Bicycles will be kept at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin Street, Fayetteville N.C. 28301 for 30 days. After 30 days the bicycle(s) will be donated to an organization that refurbishes them for people in the community.
Dangerous / hazardous Items will be immediately turned over to the Fayetteville Police Department.
FAST is not responsible for personal items lost or left on the buses, FAST Transit Center or at bus stops.
