Solicitations
The City of Fayetteville recognizes its role as a transportation hub in the community and seeks to insure that individuals who utilize the transportation services provided at its Multi-Modal Center are safe and secure with the implementation of the following policy regarding non-solicited activities within the transit center.
- Unsolicited activities are prohibited within the transit center.Unsolicited activities include, but are not limited to, the solicitation or distribution of written materials, pamphlets, leaflets, food, clothing, or canvassing the public.
- Distribution of materials must be on the public sidewalks or an area no less than eight (8) ft from the transit buildings or grassy area.
- Distribution of materials outside of the transit center cannot impede the ingress or egress of any individuals at the center.
- Any unsolicited materials found on the property of the multi-modal center may be disposed of as the City sees fit.
- Any person(s) violating this policy will be asked to cease the prohibited activity and to leave the premises.
- Persons who refuse to cease the dispersing of materials and who refuse to leave may be criminally charged pursuant to NCGS § 14-159.13.
