Solicitations

 

The City of Fayetteville recognizes its role as a transportation hub in the community and seeks to insure that individuals who utilize the transportation services provided at its Multi-Modal Center are safe and secure with the implementation of the following policy regarding non-solicited activities within the transit center.

 

  1. Unsolicited activities are prohibited within the transit center.Unsolicited activities include, but are not limited to, the solicitation or distribution of written materials, pamphlets, leaflets, food, clothing, or canvassing the public.
  2. Distribution of materials must be on the public sidewalks or an area no less than eight (8) ft from the transit buildings or grassy area.
  3. Distribution of materials outside of the transit center cannot impede the ingress or egress of any individuals at the center.
  4. Any unsolicited materials found on the property of the multi-modal center may be disposed of as the City sees fit.
  5. Any person(s) violating this policy will be asked to cease the prohibited activity and to leave the premises.
  6. Persons who refuse to cease the dispersing of materials and who refuse to leave may be criminally charged pursuant to NCGS § 14-159.13.
