Title VI Notice to the Public 

The Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of, its transit services or programs on the basis of race, color and national origin as afforded by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.

No person or group of persons, limited English individuals, minority or low-income populations will be discriminated against with regard to fares, routing, scheduling, quality of transportation service, frequency of service, age and quality of transit vehicles assigned to routes, quality of stations and location of routes will not be determined on the basis of race, color, national origin, age or disability.

Translation and interpretation services will be provided free of charge:

  • To Transit users
  • At events sponsored by FAST for its transit projects and services

FAST, as a federal grant recipient, is required by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to conform to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its amendments. Therefore, the FAST mission includes the equal and equitable access to its programs, activities, and services.

If you believe the FAST has denied you access, benefits or excluded you from participation on services because of your race, color and/or national origin you may file a written complaint within 180 days of the alleged act of discrimination with the Fayetteville Area System of Transit, the U.S. Department of Justice or the FTA at:
