    (Fayetteville, NC) – On Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at approximately 9:54 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a 911 call from a child who advised that his mother had been stabbed by her boyfriend at a residence along the 800 block of Bedrock Drive. The two (2) children in the home escaped the violent act by climbing out of a window and running to a neighboring home to call 911

  • Cold Case Sexual Assault Unit Introduces New Partnership

    (Fayetteville, NC) – The Fayetteville Police Department Cold Case Sexual Assault Unit has recently sought the services of Parabon NanoLabs (Parabon), a DNA technology company in Virginia that specializes in DNA phenotyping: the process of predicting physical appearance and ancestry from unidentified DNA evidence. Law enforcement agencies use the company’s Snapshot ™ DNA Phenotyping Service (Snapshot) to narrow suspect lists and generate leads in criminal investigations. On Thursday, December 8, 2016, the FPD will hold a press conference to discuss the new partnership at the Cumberland County Courthouse in Courtroom 4A at 10:00 am.

    (Fayetteville, NC) – The Fayetteville Police Department would to like to offer a few tips during this holiday season as it relates to internet sales and meeting individuals for the completion of the sale. The FPD has investigated instances in the past of individuals who located what was considered a great deal through an internet sales website and upon meeting the seller, the citizen was robbed or defrauded.
