(Fayetteville, N.C.) – The Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations Commission and partner agencies will host virtual small group discussions about the movie, “The Hate U Give”. The conversations are scheduled for September 17 (1pm - 3pm), September 23 (10am - 12pm) and September 29 (6pm - 8pm). Members of the public can participate via GoToWebinar. Fayetteville Police Officers, Fayetteville Firefighters, and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies will attend each session. The goal is to further relations between members of the community and our public safety agencies.

Please watch “The Hate U Give” prior to attending the virtual session. “The Hate U Give” is available on Amazon, HBO Max and Hulu. You can also purchase a DVD in stores. “The Hate U Give” was released in 2018 and stars Amandla Stenberg. The movie is based on the novel by Angie Thomas.
