The Economic & Community Development (ECD) Department uses Federal funding to provide programs and services to City of Fayetteville residents through community partners. These partners apply for funding each year during the grant cycle.
The grant cycle typically runs from November to January, when applications are received and reviewed. Per Federal regulations, ECD can allocate up to 15% of its CDBG, HOME, and HOPWA funds to community partners.
Each program year (June-July) places emphasis on specific issues on which the department and City Council are focused. Recent grant cycles have placed specific emphasis on combating homelessness, mental health issues, gun interruption, and youth diversion and development. Community partners who operate programs within these categories are strongly encouraged to apply for funding.
