Weiss Avenue Bridge Repairs

Project Overview:

The City maintains 21 bridges regulated by the National Bridge Standards adopted by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). Bi-annual inspections and reporting are required. Bridge preservation actions are intended to delay the need for costly rehabilitation or replacement while the bridges are still in good to fair condition and before the onset of serious deterioration. The project scope consists of repairing Priority Action Request (PAR) items on the Weiss Avenue Bridge confirmed by 2022 NCDOT Bridge Inspection Reports. The surface concrete repairs, demolition of the wing wall, and installing a gabion basket will be performed.
