Emergency Watershed Protection Projects

  

Project Overview:

The City has been awarded funding through a grant provided by the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for Emergency Watershed Protection. EWP projects are designed to provide debris removal and streambank stabilization.

Green Street EWP

This project is located at 230 Green Street in Fayetteville NC. The design for the project has been completed and awarded. The contract completion time is 240 days. Approximately 225 linear ft of Cross Creek Bank will be stabilized. While the contractor finishes up behind Beaver Courie Law Firm, the crew has begun construction behind St. Johns Church.

· Construction of the wall has begun on the downstream end

· The wall will be installed in 3-4 sections.

· Excavation of bank is underway

 

 

 

Ann Street

This project is located at 102 Ann Street in Fayetteville NC. The project is currently in contact routing, and the notice to proceed is to be determined.

  • Construction Completion Time: 240 Days
