Devonwood Lower Dam
Project Overview
The Devonwood Dam is located on McFadyen Drive in the western part of the City. This Dam was destroyed during Hurricane Matthew on October 8, 2016. The dam was previously repaired by the City of Fayetteville. This Project is in response to the Dam Safety Meeting conducted by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ). This project will consist of the construction of a Chimney Drain on the downstream side of the dam and tree cutting and removal of trees deemed a risk to the dam’s safety by NCDEQ.
