Rollout Carts

Each single-family dwelling is issued one 96-gallon green rollout cart for household waste and one 96-gallon blue rollout cart for recyclables. Each issued rollout cart remains the property of the City of Fayetteville and cannot be removed from the residence to which it is assigned.

Rollout carts will not be issued to unoccupied dwellings.

• Additional Yard Waste rollout carts (brown only) can be purchased for a fee of $60, each. Residents can purchase and pick up the additional rollout cart at 455 Grove Street, or have it delivered for a $25 fee. NOTE: Either Yard Waste rollout carts (Brown) and Household rollout carts (Green) can be used for household waste and yard waste collection, but must not be mixed in the same cart. 

Rollout Cart Placement

• • Place rollout carts 1 foot from the curb by 6 a.m.
• • Rollout cart handles should face the residence
• • Allow 4 feet between rollout carts and other objects
• • Rollout cart lids should be within 6-8 inches of closing
• Do not place rollout carts under or near low-hanging wires, tree branches, powerlines, mailboxes, or other obstructions
• • Remove vehicles from the street on your designated collection day
• • All waste bags must be inside the rollout cart 
• • Remove rollout carts from the curb after collection

Rollout Cart Repairs, Replacements or Orders

Residents can contact the 1-FAY Call Center at (910) 433-1FAY (1329) to report rollout cart issues, order a replacement rollout cart or order an additional rollout cart. 

• Examples of rollout cart issues include vandalization and theft. 

• For repairs, a technician will inspect the rollout cart for possible repair or replacement. Rollout cart damage caused by misuse or neglect will be repaired or replaced at the user's expense.
