Fayetteville ‘DRC’ now operated by Manna Dream Center
Manna Dream Center, a local nonprofit organization and church, officially took over running the Fayetteville Day Resource Center, (DRC) today, filling a role that had previously been filled by Cumberland HealthNET.

FAST begins service to Bill Crisp Senior Center on July 1
The Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) is adding an additional stop to Route 17 which includes the Bill Crisp Senior Center. Service to the center is slated to start July 1.

Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation receives Arts Council Grant for Independence Concert
Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation was awarded a $7,200 grant from the Arts Council of Fayetteville|Cumberland County to support the Independence Concert which will be held in Festival Park on Thursday, July 4.

Additional Flight from FAY to ATL to begin in September
Delta Airlines is set to enhance travel convenience for passengers at Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY) by adding a third daily flight to Atlanta (ATL) starting September 9. The additional frequency flight will increase travel options and reduce layover times for passengers flying through Atlanta.

Fayetteville City Council Adopts Fiscal Year 2025 Budget
The City of Fayetteville adopted the fiscal year 2025 budget, totaling $320.9 million on June 24. Councilmembers unanimously voted to adopt the budget during a Regular Council meeting held in the council chambers at city hall.

Fayetteville Earns Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
The City of Fayetteville has been awarded the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The City won for its annual budget document for Fiscal Year 2024, which began in July 2023.

Fayetteville pool visits top 10,000 in first week
A total of 10,248 people visited the Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation’s pools from May 27 to June 2. Lake Rim Park Aquatic Center saw the most opening week visits with 4,198 people. As temperatures warm and the school year ends, pool attendance is expected to rise.

Smoke Alarm event to be held Saturday June 1
