American Airlines enhances service from Fayetteville Regional Airport
American Airlines announced they will introduce an additional daily frequency to Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) from Fayetteville Regional Airport (FAY). Additionally, effective March 5, 2024, American Airlines will discontinue service between DFW and Fayetteville Regional Airport.

Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) will host a hiring fair on Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin St. Candidates can apply on site and do on-the-spot interviews with members of FAST.

City council adopts new meeting times
Starting Feb. 5, city council work sessions will now take place at 2 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. and city council regular meetings will now take place at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. These meetings are held in city hall in council chambers and open to the public.

CSX will close 2 railroad crossings for maintenance
CSX will temporarily close two railroad crossings beginning on Feb. 5 to conduct railroad maintenance. The roads that will be impacted by the closures are Cumberland Street and Moore Street.

Kiwanis Playground will temporarily close for improvements
