    Open burn ban implemented due to dry conditions

    Due to the increased fire risk, the N.C. Forest Service and City of Fayetteville Fire Department issued a ban on open burning. Also, land clearing burning permits are canceled for the City of Fayetteville in accordance with Fire Prevention Ordinance section 11.11.

Governor Roy Cooper appointed Fayetteville Mayor Pro Tem Kathy Jensen to the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission (NC MAC). Jensen will serve a two-year term on the Commission.
