Registration for Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) spring sports closes on March 1. Visit www.FCPR.us to complete the registration for baseball ages three to 17, indoor soccer ages five to 12, and softball and track and field ages seven to 17.

City Names Kimberly Leonard as Budget and Evaluation Director
The City of Fayetteville hired the financial leader, Kimberly Leonard, to be the next Budget and Evaluation Department Director. Her new role includes developing, communicating and administering the City’s annual operating budget and capital improvement program. She will begin on Feb. 20.

Railroad Maintenance will cause detours in Downtown Fayetteville
The CSX Corporation will temporarily close multiple railroad crossings in the downtown Fayetteville area from Feb. 13-18 in order to conduct routine railroad maintenance. Six railroad crossings will be closed affecting Hay and Russell Streets. Blount Street will not be affected by these closures.
