    City of Fayetteville government offices will be closed on Monday, June 20, to observe the Juneteenth Holiday. In January, Fayetteville City Council members voted to change the City ordinance and add Juneteenth as a holiday for the first time in City government history.

    Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) pools open on Memorial Day and lifeguards are ready for summer assignments. Nearly 50 lifeguards completed orientation on Saturday, May 21 at the Keith A. Bates, Sr. Pool at College Lakes Recreation Center on Rosehill Road.
